Chernihiv: The idea of the project of the Memorial to the Defenders of Ukraine
Yesterday, February 27, definition the idea of the future project of the Memorial to the Defenders of Ukraine to be set on the spot where formerly stood the statue of Lenin. The projects were chosen by the competition jury in an open architectural competition for the best project proposal the construction of the Memorial to the Defenders of Ukraine. The jury meeting took place in the session hall of the Chernihiv city Council. The competition ran from 26 September 2016 15 February 2017. Reference: Regarding the announcement of the contest to determine the best design of the memorial, the place of installation and its name was determined by the community at public hearings. Which took place on 29 July 2016. This competition was envisaged that the results of the jury will decide on the definition of the best project proposals. For the celebration of the proposals selected will be assigned three prizes: 10000 (ten thousand) UAH; 6000 (six thousand) UAH; 4000 (four thousand) hryvnia. Just before the Commission was filed 14 design work. Each project was discussed and analysed by the competition jury. Award-winning projects of the open architectural contest for the best idea of the future memorial to the Defenders of Ukraine in Chernihiv were the following projects: The 3rd place team. 2nd place - student of Kyiv national University of construction and architecture goretskaya Alena. 1st place - student of Kyiv national University of construction and architecture Anastasiia, Orisek. Reference: The memorial will be installed funded by the city budget and the money raised by the public. Earlier Chernihiv city Chairman Vladislav Atroshenko promised that he personally as a resident of the city of Chernigov, one tenth of the amount that will collect the public will take over.
