Chernigov: On the proposal of the mayor of the Single tax for private entrepreneurs the second group will be reduced
the city Council voted for a reduction of a quarter of the size of the Single tax in the city of Chernihiv for 2017 physical persons-entrepreneurs group II. From April 1 FOT this group will pay the local tax in the amount of 20% and 15% of the minimum wage. This decision was preceded by a heated discussion in the session hall, which, besides deputies, representatives of certain political forces and communities of entrepreneurs. Presented the project originally called for a tax reduction for this group of entrepreneurs halfway. The main arguments "for" were the adoption of similar solutions in several cities of Ukraine and the need to support the business in economically difficult times. Those who spoke against it, saying enough about the populist nature of such a decision and the ability of the amount of 300 hryvnias really affect the number of entrepreneurs the "average" group. At the same time, the total expected shortfall in the city budget would be decreasing the tax on half of the more than 17 million hryvnias. And this means that the urban economy and some of the public sector will receive less. In the end, after a break and consultation with representatives of parliamentary factions, 37 votes for a compromise solution, from those that were proposed by the mayor. Commenting on it, Vladislav Atroshenko emphasized on several additional conditions. First, the impact of this decision on the number of registered entrepreneurs and actual tax collection in the city will be quarterly monitored and objectively evaluated. Second, the city government accepts the proposal of the entrepreneurs to work together to identify Chernihiv those of their colleagues who work in the shadows. "I think you know them personally," said the mayor, - "let the community help you, and you will help the community".
