March 3, at the session hall of the regional state administration I took place a press-conference on the implementation of the initiative of the Vinnytsia regional platform of the all-Ukrainian forum "Parents for early intervention in Ukraine". One of the participants of the initiative and regional partner regional public organization "Association of protection and assistance to the disabled "Open hearts". "It is very nice that Vinnytsia region determined pilot within the framework of this project in our state", – said the Chairman of the "Association for the protection of and assistance to the disabled "Open hearts" Svitlana Demko. "You can say that Vinnitsa region is at the forefront of the regions of Ukraine on the quality of social services provision to persons with disabilities", she added. We will remind that early intervention is a complex of various medical, psychological, educational and other activities for children from birth to 4 years with the aim of identifying violations of health and development. "There is no doubt that early intervention will reduce the phenomenon of the contents and inpatient care for persons who have physical or psychological abnormalities in its development. This is evidenced by the experience of the advanced countries in the provision of social services", – said the head of Department of legal support and social services Department of social and youth policy of the regional state administration Sergey Sink. So, early intervention allows the early detection of the problem and prevent its consequences, to increase the competence of parents to provide the desired level of development according to age, rehabilitation and socialization to improve mental, verbal and communication skills. "The main goal of early intervention is to create all necessary conditions for the family, in which resides a person with disability, these families did not remain separated from society. Without exaggeration we can say that with early intervention a child's future begins," – said the coordinator of the project "Parents for the early intervention in Ukraine" Olena skrypko.
