March 10, at the press center of the Department of information activities and public relations of the regional state administration held a meeting of the regional interdepartmental Commission on Affairs of perpetuating of memory of participants of the antiterrorist operation, victims of war and political repression. Recall that the interdepartmental Commission on Affairs of perpetuating of memory formed in accordance with the decree of the Chairman of regional state administration on 26 September 2016 ¹ 703 "On the establishment of the regional interdepartmental Commission on Affairs of perpetuating of memory of participants of the antiterrorist operation, war victims and political repressions" to facilitate search, accounting, development, preservation and maintenance of places of burial of the participants of the ATO, war victims and political repressions on the territory of the region. The meeting of the interdepartmental Commission on Affairs of perpetuating of memory took place under the chairmanship of the Director of the Department of information activities and public relations of the regional state administration Svetlana Vasilyuk. "Education and the Commission on Affairs of perpetuating of memory of participants of the antiterrorist operation, victims of war and political repression is very relevant in our time. I hope that the members of the interdepartmental Commission on Affairs of perpetuating of memory will do everything possible to ensure that it was maximally effective, and the Commission itself will play an important role in the implementation of regional policy in the sphere of preservation of historical memory", – assured Svetlana Vasilyuk. The composition of the interdepartmental Commission on Affairs of perpetuating of memory included representatives of Executive authorities, local governments, civil society institutions and scientific institutions of the region. During the meeting of the regional interdepartmental Commission on Affairs of perpetuating of memory of participants of the antiterrorist operation, victims of war and political repression were discussed to improve the work related to ensuring the perpetuation of the memory of participants of the antiterrorist operation, victims of war and political repression, the availability and condition of monuments, memorials and graves of victims of Holodomor and political repression on the territory of the region, as well as determination of the place of mass graves of Jewish residents in the village Vakhnivka shot during the Second world war (1939-1945), as monuments of the history of Podillia. Special attention was paid to the activities of the State archive of Vinnytsia region, archival service of the SBU in Vinnytsia region on the order of access of citizens to the Affairs of the repressed.
