14 March, on European square, a solemn laying flowers to the monument to Heroes of Heavenly Hundred and the ATO warriors and the Glory Memorial on the occasion of the celebration of Vinnytsya region of the first anniversary of the Day of Ukrainian volunteers. Note that according to the decree of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of January 17, 2017 No. 1822-VIII "On establishing the Day of Ukrainian volunteers", with the purpose of honoring the courage and heroism of defenders of independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, promoting further strengthening of Patriotic spirit in society, increased public attention and concern about the members of the volunteer forces, March 14 announced the Day of the Ukrainian volunteer. In solemn flower laying ceremony was attended by Chairman of the regional state administration Valery Cow, the Chairman of the regional Council Anatoliy Oliynyk, mayor Sergiy Morgunov, members of the Armed forces of Ukraine, participants of the antiterrorist operation in Eastern Ukraine, residents and guests, representatives of civil society institutions and mass media of the region. A minute of silence was held in memory of all Ukrainian servicemen who died during the antiterrorist operation on the territory temporarily occupied Donetsk and Lugansk regions. The honor guard platoon of the command of the Air Forces, accompanied by military band March past was held at the European square, paying tribute to Ukrainian Heroes.
