the Prosecutor's office of Volyn region ensured the maintenance of public prosecution in the criminal proceedings against the Deputy chief Manevychi penal colony No. 42. As is known in Volyn oblast, was arrested on 14 February this year when obtaining illegal benefit in the amount of 2 thousand UAH. It is established that the official for improper advantage in the total amount of 4 thousand UAH. intended to exercise influence on the members of the Commission of the penal colony to "resolve the issue" on the application to the convicted parole from further punishment. Only ten days it took pre-trial investigation body to collect sufficient proofs of fault of the policeman, the completion of the investigation and the direction of the indictment to the court. The actions of officials are qualified under part 2 of article 369-2 of the Criminal code of Ukraine - abuse of influence, i.e. obtaining illegal benefit for influence on decision-making by the person authorized to perform state functions. The results of the trial, the court issued a verdict that approved agreement between the Prosecutor and the defendant a plea agreement of guilt. Law enforcement officers were found guilty in committing of corruption criminal offences and agreed by the parties appointed punishment in the form of a fine of 17 thousand UAH.
