In Zhytomyr region, on March 22 portal EdEra starts session 2 discussion educational programs for 5-9 classes
22 March to 2 April everyone will be able to see and to make suggestions to the draft of the updated curriculum for grades 5-9. Given the magnitude of the work done, time for the second session of discussion was increased as the first session, it will last 12 days. It is reported by the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine. "We saw that we had a critical little time on the most complex and important phases of the substantive and technical work with training programs. That is why it was decided to increase the time for processing documents in workgroups to extend it to 3 days until March 10 – for the preparation of files for posting on the website aside for 6 days. After consulting we decided that it would be fair to increase the period of the second session of the public discussion, because people should have the opportunity to get acquainted with the prepared documents," - said the coordinator of the project the curricula for grades 5-9 Tatiana Sascha. The working groups were focused on two main tasks: first, taking into account the proposals of the 1st session of the public discussion of the programs on the portal of the EdEra, and, second, the preparation of drafts of the updated curriculum in which special attention was paid to kompetentnosti component, which will be implemented through the implementation of the curriculum through substantial four lines: * health and safety; * civil liability; * entrepreneurship and financial literacy; * sustainable development and environmental literacy. Given this, the working groups prepared draft update of programs for grades 5-9 that March 22 will be posted for discussion on the online portal EdEra. The results of the work created a comparison table that explained what proposals the first session of the discussion were taken into account, what does not and why, and a brief description of key changes proposed to be implemented in programs.
