62 General practitioners, family medicine centers of primary health care (PHC) Novograd Volyn, Emilchinsky, Baranovsky, and Romanovsky areas took part in scientific-practical conference "the Overall clinical aspects of modern problems of HIV/AIDS" with the mastery of a methodology for conducting voluntary counselling and HIV testing". The conference took place on 17 March in Novohrad-Volynskyi. "The need for the holding of such scientific conferences due to the fact that medical support for HIV-infected persons and those who belong to risk groups, will provide family physicians network of primary care, which, in fact, this is not yet fully ready. Doctors General practice, family medicine, in particular, will need to test the population for HIV with the consent of the patient, including pregnant women. And this work involves the mastery of a number of relevant theoretical knowledge and practical skills", – said the chief doctor of the regional center for prevention and fight AIDS Yuri Galinsky. He also added that the center's specialists recognize the effectiveness of such forms of cooperation with colleagues. For example, last year, in addition to traditional performances on the specialized societies, there have been three cluster workshops for obstetricians-gynecologists, internists, infectious disease specialists.
