In Vinnytsia region the Expert Council on the issues of prevention and counteraction of discrimination on grounds of sex (photo)
In Vinnytsia region on March 22, 2017 was held the constituent meeting of the Expert Council on preventing and combating discrimination based on sex, which was created by order of the Department of social and youth policy of the regional state administration, in accordance with article 12 of the law of Ukraine "On ensuring equal rights and opportunities of women and men", p. 5 n. 1, 41 of the Regulations on the Department of social and youth policy of the regional state administration, to the order of the Ministry of social policy of Ukraine from 30.09.2016 year ¹ 1116 "On approval of the decision of the Collegium of the Ministry of social policy of Ukraine from September 22, 2016, "reform of the system of social protection of the population in 2016 and 2017" in terms of ensuring equal rights and opportunities of women and men with the aim of ensuring the consideration of complaints of discrimination on grounds of sex. Comprised of representatives of the Department of social and youth policy of the regional state administration, public organizations of Vinnytsia educational gender centre, regional coordinator of interaction with the public in Vinnytsia oblast of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for human rights, the deputies of the Vinnytsia regional Council. On the agenda was discussed: 1. State of gender policy in Vinnytsia region 2. Organizational issues to ensure the work of the Expert Council: composition, regulation, legislation. 3. The results of the monitoring of advertising in Vinnitsa. During the meeting participants actively discussed, debated and offered suggestions for further work.
