28 March under the leadership of the Chairman of regional state administration Valery Cows held a meeting with representatives of pharmacy chains in Vinnytsia region on readiness of region for realization of the governmental program "Accessible medicines". The project comes into effect from 1 April 2017, and at its core is a mechanism for full or partial reimbursement of the cost of medicines for outpatient treatment of individuals suffering from cardiovascular diseases, diabetes type II and bronchial asthma. "The Ukrainian Government begins the implementation of the first phase of health reform, which is extremely important. How well we go through it, will depend on the implementation of the following stages, addressed the participants of the Chairman of the regional state administration Valery Cow. – According to statistical indicators, 924 288 patients suffer from cardiovascular disease. About 48 thousand people are sick with diabetes mellitus type II, asthma was 10 285 patients. And we must do everything to ensure that every man of this number felt that the program reimbursement works." During the meeting, the Director of the Department of health regional state administration Lyudmila grabovich acquainted the participants with legal framework, ensuring the implementation of the programme of reimbursement of cost of medicines, and informed about the measures taken in the field in preparation for the implementation of the government program. According to her, Vinnytsia oblast subvention from the state budget for reimbursement of cost of medicines for some diseases amounted to 20.5 million. These funds have been transferred to local budgets. "The patient should contact your family doctor and get a prescription, then go to the pharmacy and get the prescription: or free or partial charge. The cost of drugs will be fully or partially reimbursed by the state at the reference price to be determined by the MINISTRY of health of Ukraine", - said Lyudmila grabovich. At the same time she informed that the Chairman of regional state administration issued a decree on modernization of the institutions of primary health care, equipping them with computers, office equipment and Internet network to provide maintenance workers a register of patients with certain diseases.
