In Zhytomyr region Igor Gundich discussed with the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia the possibility to attract investment.
The Chairman of regional state administration Igor Gundich and Chairman of the regional Council Vladimir Shirma was found on 29 March, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia in Ukraine, Juris Poikans, and his Deputy, Carina Leah. The meeting discussed the possibility of attracting investment in the Zhytomyr region. "In the Zhytomyr region there are 4 enterprises with Latvian capital, but, of course, I would like to expand cooperation. I have hope that it will be Zhytomyr oblast. Now we are actively looking for investors who would create jobs. Zhytomyr – it agriculture, laperrine manufacturing and mining industry", – said Igor Gundich. Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia in Ukraine, Juris Poikans focused on attracting in the region of the honorary Consul: "I am only 15 months working in Ukraine and, of course, try to visit the regions. No geographic limitations for cooperation we have. In other regions of Ukraine we have honorary consuls who, in turn, help us. Therefore, for effective cooperation it is possible to build a similar model of successful communication". Also Igor Gundich added that in turn the management of the region will find a person that would fit the role of the Consul." Reference. On the territory of Zhytomyr oblast work 395 enterprises with foreign capital operate in the region – Zhytomyr trust Germany, Poland, Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark and other countries that are conducting a successful business.
