In the reform of the fiscal service special attention should be paid to the local government. After the implementation of fiscal decentralization, local governments are in fact tax agents who are interested in timely receipt of taxes in the local budget. This was stated during a meeting of the Government Vice Prime Minister – Minister of regional development, construction and housing and communal services of Ukraine Gennady Zubko, commenting on the concept of reforming of the DFS. "First and foremost, we must renew the work of public councils and boards, which, together with the local government and DFS will resolve the issues concerning the uncollected taxes from business entities, which operate on the territory of local communities", - said Gennady Zubko.
