KZ “Preschool educational institution No. 18” held an environmental campaign called “Bird town make good child's heart” dedicated to the International day of birds. Every year this day is celebrated on 1 April. The aim of the campaign was the preparation for the meeting of the migratory birds, which during this period returned after wintering up to our latitude. Together with the pupils, their parents and employees of the kindergarten, took part in it, the Deputy mayor Andrew Kish, member of the city Council Bogdan Bogonos, head of Department of ecology of the city Council Anatoly Glamazda, Advisor to mayor Boris Soroka. Also among the guests were the participants of liquidation of Chernobyl accident, representatives of OJSC “Lutsk aviation enterprise”, environmental organizations Volyn, heads of preschool institutions of Lutsk. Started with a festive program prepared by children at the facility. Small “burninate” has demonstrated its readiness to meet the birds from the warm countries, urging them as soon as possible to return to the native land. Addressing the event, Deputy mayor Andrej Kiska said: “I am Pleased that with the onset of spring in our city has begun a variety of environmental actions. They not only make cleaner and healthier world around us, but also help a child to develop children's respect for nature, care for the environment, because it is our future.” He also urged the staff of all educational institutions along with pupils to join in planting trees, landscaping the grounds, building birdhouses and other environmental actions together to do more important things. Yet, Andrej Kiska expressed his gratitude to Boris Soroka for the great idea of the campaign for the International day of birds. He thanked those present at the event, participants of liquidation of Chernobyl accident, with luck managed to avoid environmental crisis in 1986-m to year. In turn, Boris Soroka noted that the staff of the kindergarten ¹18 made every effort to organize a green festival. “April 1 — international day of migratory birds. they need special care, because every year fewer birds are able to overcome the spring migration from warm lands. Many of them will die in adverse environmental conditions, destructive anthropogenic activity and other factors. But we meet them in a cozy house on which everything worked. Therefore, in our town certainly will sound sonorous birds ' singing”, he added. After the war, kitty and Boris Soroka was awarded the Gratitude of the mayor team KZ “Preschool educational institution ¹18 (head Pugach, Irina Nikolaevna), the Chairman of parental Committee of KINDERGARTEN ¹18 Anne Graczyk and the caregiver Lilia Myronchuk. Also addressed the first Deputy Chairman of the Volyn regional voluntary society “Chernobyl Union” Rostislav Kuchta. He remembered 5 years ago in the garden together with the city mayor Mykola Romanyuk, the authorities and staff planted a fruit garden in commemoration of the anniversary of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Then all guests were invited to the opening of “bird's town”. Also in the courtyard of the institutions have started installing new birdhouses and tree planting arborvitae. According to the head of Department of ecology Anatoly Glamazda, this year the kindergarten plans to plant 22 new TUI and already planted 25 bushes of boxwood.
