Marina Kazanskaya told the audience that in 2009 the NGO "Romano Drom" on their own initiative to perpetuate the memory of the tortured Gypsies, among whom were many women and children, established a monument at the place of execution. She recalled that Chernigov – third the number of people shot in the war of the Roma after the cities of Berlin and Auschwitz (Auschwitz concentration camp, Poland). This fact is known to the whole world and at the Memorial near the Reichstag in Berlin Chernigov is listed as the city where he was executed thousands of Roma. Adriana Costa, talking about the purpose of his visit, noted that she is the coordinator of the project, which is studying the Genocide during the second world war. In her opinion, it is important to be aware of all those terrible events that happened as they occurred to prevent their recurrence and to understand how to counter this in the future.
