In General, under current law, the service for children's Affairs shall exercise control and supervision of maintenance and education in the field of the following categories of children : • 712 adopted ; • 1263 children who were in difficult life circumstances; • 2523 children-orphans, children deprived of parental care; • 22 status of children who moved from areas of ATO ; • 154 status of children living in the region from other regions of Ukraine ; • 8 status of children from other countries who live in the region . Therefore, the main priority of the service for children's Affairs of regional state administration for 2017 identified the strengthening of the protection of the rights of children-orphans and children deprived of parental care. Work in this direction will be carried out by ensuring the rights of children to grow up in a family environment; participation in reforming residential care system ( is necessary to cover family forms not less than 94.8% of children-orphans and children deprived of parental care); the device of children-orphans and children deprived of parental care, foster families, orphanages of family type) – not less than 24.5 per cent; - the device of children-orphans, children deprived of parental care in residential institutions of system of the MES, the MOH, SME (no more than 2.5%). The service also will coordinate efforts to ensure the welfare and safe environment for the development and education of children through the strengthening of prevention of child neglect; the prevention of negative phenomena among children;creation of a system of foster care arrangements for children requiring immediate assistance; According to Valentina Cebora, in 2017, the service for children Affairs of regional state administration also will conduct oversight and monitoring of detention conditions and education of children whose parents were killed on the Maidan and in the ATO, orphans, children deprived of parental care who resettled from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
