In Zhytomyr already sown 47% of the planned area
In all categories of farms of the Zhytomyr region already sown 28.6 thousand hectares (47% of the planned areas). It is reported by the Directorate of agricultural development of the Zhytomyr regional state administration. Based on the available information, as of March 4 this year before the sowing of early grain and leguminous crops has begun production in all districts of the region. In particular, it has sown: * spring wheat – 3.1 thousand ha or 30% of the forecast; * spring barley – 11.7 thousand hectares (50 %); * oats – 11,3 thousand hectares (45 %); * peas – 2,5 thousand hectares (91 %). Also started sowing sugar beet and sunflower. Among the leaders in the sowing of early grain crops in forest-Steppe zone are agriculture Chudniv district, in Polesia agrarian formations Brusilovsky district, the Transition zone leading enterprises of Zhytomyr region.
