Chernigov: a Grant program to support initiatives of displaced

Krimson and the UN Agency for refugees continue grant program to help volunteer initiatives of migrants in solving their problems, protecting their rights and freedoms. Deadline - 15 December 2017. Who can apply: • group/organization/initiative that has a clearly organized structure and consists of at least three persons, of whom at least two are immigrants (at least 50% of the group must be displaced); • group/organization/initiative that actively works in the sphere of protection of rights of internally displaced persons. Direction of projects: - integration and fostering dialogue between migrants and local communities; - protection of the rights of immigrants; - strengthening initiatives and communities of internally displaced persons (VPO); - support women and address gender-based violence and the protection of people with special needs and other vulnerable groups; the improvement/creation of infrastructure and social facilities for use in higher education and local communities. Basic conditions: • the project budget up to UAH 25 000; • the project is non-profit, non-political and non-discriminatory; • the project is aimed at solving challenges/problems of different nature faced by internally displaced persons; • the number of direct/indirect beneficiaries of the aid received as a result of implementation of the project; • geography:. Kiev, Kiev, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, Chernihiv, Lutsk, Rivne, Kherson, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky,Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Cherkasy region; • the long-term result of the project; • payment of goods/services must be made before 10 December 2017; • cooperation with the authorities and other public organizations/ initiative groups at local/national levels; • project implementation period – until the end of 2017. This program is not aimed at improving the living conditions and humanitarian situation of the individual family to purchase food and non-food products intended for humanitarian assistance to displaced people and to cover administrative costs and salaries of project participants. Also aid is not available in the form of cash. To participate in the grant program must complete an application and send it by e-mail: community@krymsos.com.
