Sergey Savchuk: Saee attracts "Climate Bond Initiative" for implementation in Ukraine "green" bonds and other financing instruments of "green" projects

Issue "green" bonds may become a promising tool for the financing of the Ukrainian renewable energy projects. This issue was discussed yesterday by the Chairman of the Saee Serhiy Savchuk together with Manuel Adams Director of the international organization "Climate Bond Initiative", which attracts "green" investments worldwide. "Now Ukraine has already developed many promising renewable energy projects, which for a startup in need of funding. Therefore, in addition to the settlement of the legal framework in this field, we are actively working on the issue of introduction of tools of attraction of cheap resources in "green" projects. For this, we consider features of work of the Green climate Fund established by the Treaty of Paris, and the Green Investment Bank, which operates in the UK, and the introduction of green bonds", - said the Chairman of the Saee Serhiy Savchuk. In turn, Manuel Adams told about the activities of the "Climate Bond Initiative". Is an international organization whose goal is to mobilize 100 billion US dollars on the world market and send them to "green" projects. As explained by Manuel Adams, the creation of markets for "green" bonds will help reduce the cost of capital for renewable energy projects, reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Speaking about the experience in different countries of the world, Manuel Adams noted that in search of financing an important factor always remain the investment climate in the country. That is what I draw the attention of all investors. "Ukraine should study the issue of creating a positive investment profile. You need is beneficial to present the latest achievements on the way of development of energy efficiency and renewable energy, positive changes in the legislative field," - said N.
