Residents of the city visited the hospital and the station of urgent medical aid in the town of Celje, as well as dispensaries in the city of la?ko. It should be noted that the public health of Slovenia, represented by private and public institutions, and at least one large government complex located in a large village. At the same time, anywhere in the country available emergency medical care, represented not only by ambulances, but, if necessary, and a helicopter. Therefore, problems with the delivery of the patient from a rural hospital urban clinic is almost never observed. The basis of the public health system lies with the family doctor, without a referral from which it is impossible to access the following levels of treatment: medical specialists, outpatient or inpatient examination and treatment, tests and surgical intervention and the like. On the basis of prescriptions from the General practitioner of the insured person gain access to free medication. In addition, guests spoke about the peculiarities of health insurance, which for decades operated in the country. So, for most citizens of the country medical services are provided free with medical insurance pole. A basic package of medical services covered by mandatory health insurance, includes the provision of primary, secondary, tertiary care, pharmaceuticals and medical products and all medical services for children and adolescents, including diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation; advising on family planning and contraception, perinatal care and childbirth in women; programmes for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases, including HIV infection; treatment and rehabilitation of occupational diseases or injuries, malignant, psychiatric diseases, epilepsy, hemophilia, cerebral palsy, diabetes, multiple sclerosis and psoriasis; medical services related to donation and transplantation of tissue and organs; medical emergency, including sanitary aviation, nursing, treatment and care in the home and in social institutions; long-term care. However, the percentage cover of different services through health insurance varies from 25% to 95%. For example, 95% of the cost of covered services related to organ transplants and emergency surgery, treatment abroad, intensive therapy, radiotherapy, dialysis and other urgent measures, which are included in the basic package. In addition to the mandatory health insurance, the majority of citizens have additional insurance, because the cost of treatment in Slovenia is quite high, and socialized medicine provides only part of the necessary medical services.
