April 11, a working visit to Ternopil oblast was visited by the Chairman of the all-Ukrainian narcological Association, doctor of medical Sciences, initiator of the implementation of a comprehensive programme - Anatoly viewski. He met with the head of Ternopil regional Council Viktor Ovcharka, Vice-Chairman of the Ternopil regional state administration Yuri Yurik, head of the Department of health Ternopil regional state administration Volodymyr Bogaichuk, head of the Department of education and science of Ternopil regional state administration Olga Homa, chief expert-pediatrician of the Department of health Maya Beggar and chief freelance expert in narcology of management of health Vasily Gasanovym. During the meeting Anatoly viewski presented the educational program "straight talk". "A prerequisite for the implementation of this program is that the prevention of drug and alcohol problems in secondary schools are predominantly narcologists. According to the plans agreed by the Board of education of the city and region, lectures, discussions with students of secondary schools, round tables with teachers, performances by narcologists at PTA meetings. This work is systemic, it is held from year to year, but the efforts of one of treatment professionals is inadequate in carrying out the prevention of drug and alcohol problems among students of secondary schools. It is imperative that this important work was provided for classroom teachers, school psychologists, pediatricians and parents. And just the program "straight talk" implies their active participation in this process", - said Anatoly viewski. In turn, the head of the Department of health Ternopil regional state administration Volodymyr Bogaychuk assured that the management of health care there are no obstacles in implementation of the program in our area. "Personally, I believe that this educational program is very important for our younger generation. I am the father of two sons and understand that this program will allow them in future to make the right choice, OPELOUSAS knowledge and facts about alcohol and drug addiction," said Vladimir Bulyuk. In the future, Anatoly viewski met with the Directors of secondary schools of the region to discuss future cooperation. Reference: The program "straight talk" is represented by a set of prevention materials 16 books: 12 workbooks for students of all classes and 4 of the manual for teachers and parents. The basic idea of the program is educating the students responsible attitude to their own health in a preventive cooperation with parents and school staff. The program is based on teaching a healthy lifestyle through the development of life skills. The main differences of the program are: informational focus on students, their parents and teachers; - have an educational character; - integrates medical and educational system through the implementation of preventive measures for students and their parents with a combination of preventive anti-alcohol and proteinencoding teaching in secondary school. The program will promote: - the formation of socially favourable behaviour of students; - develop skills to resist negative social impact; - learning useful life skills; - reinforce positive attitudes to learning; - contribute to the positive effect of children on each other.
