Residents of the region can obtain free medicines
Chairman of regional state administration Stepan Barna encourages residents of the region to take advantage of the Government program "Affordable medicine" and get free medicines. "1 April 2017, the Government launched the program "Affordable medicine" in which patients will be able to cure cardiovascular diseases, type II diabetes and asthma free. The goal of the program is to provide every citizen of Ukraine with medicines that will improve their quality of life and prevent complications and premature mortality. To implement this project, the Government has allocated UAH 500 million. Ternopil region received 13 million. The other day I signed a Decree on the allocation of these funds between the districts in our region", - said Stepan Barna. The Chairman of regional state administration noted that the number of registered in the area that need help - almost 686 thousand people. "On the one hand, the program "Affordable medicine" needs to improve social protection of the population of the region, and with another – to reduce the percentage mortality. This step will be useful in the implementation of the next initiatives aimed at improving the quality of living standards of the region", – stated Stepan Barna. He informed that at present, agreements have been signed with 70 pharmacies in the area who are willing to participate in the program. Joined the program and all municipal pharmacy.
