08-09 April 2017 in “White castle” hall “Lutsk MFZN “Sport for all” open championship of the city of Lutsk on checkers among boys and girls in age groups 7-11, 12-16 years, who organized the office for physical culture and sports Lutsk city Council and KZ “Lutsk MFZN “Sport for all”. The championship was held with the aim of further development of draughts, their popularization among children and youth, increase of sports skill of young players, the best selection for participation in the Championship field. During two days of intense struggle 38 young players have shown restraint, perseverance, ingenuity, imagination, and will to win. The two-day draughts battles among athletes in the younger group (7-11 years) showed the following results: First place - Victoria Kormanik, Bogdan Waxwings; II place - Eva Kozlova, Igor Roshchin; Third place - Daria Mrowec, Ivan Makovetsky. In the older age group (12-16 years) the winners are: And place - Julia Lopachuk, Sergey Grigorievich; II place - Helen Lemish, Mr Herasymiuk; III place - Sofia Yarmolyuk, Vladimir Samaluk.
