"To reach the European level of coverage of children with vaccinations, you need to provide three components: the readiness of the health care system, availability of vaccines and the understanding of parents and the public the importance of vaccination, stressed in his introductory remarks, the chief doctor of the Vinnytsia regional health Center Tamara Vasilchuk. - Only joint efforts of the medical community, the authorities and the public that recognize the problem, you can bring about change for the better." Tatyana Bondarenko – head of the Department of preventive and curative care for children's population, informed those present about the status of the incidence of children's infectious diseases in the region of Vinnytsia and told how will be held in the "Ukrainian week of immunization – 2017". She focused on the fact that vaccination diseases are rare, missing it is because in developed countries there is an almost continuous immunization : "in order to have a communicable security, it is necessary that some vaccinated population ranged from 85 to 95% for different infections," said the official. Chief specialist of the Department of preventive and curative care for children's population-DOSE regional state administration Larissa Bevza assured that at the moment, the oblast is fully provided with all necessary vaccines: "Vaccines are available in accordance with need, according to the immunization schedule from birth to 26 years. They are all good quality." Thanks to the high level of the population vaccinated against diphtheria in the region this severe infectious disease is not logged for the past 4 years. Said that a regional specialist epidemiologist Stepan Tomin. "In 2016, thanks to immunization, there were no cases of measles," - said the expert. Regional pediatric immunologist Natalia Grineva, in turn, said that the region of 70-80% of children under three years of age vaccinated in violation of the vaccination calendar. "If the vaccination schedule is broken, it is necessary to receive in addition the immune drugs. The main thing - to keep the minimal intervals — vaccination with different vaccines should occur no sooner than a month. Calendar of preventive vaccinations in Ukraine approved by the order of Ministry of health in 2011. According to him, immunization is carried out against 10 infections: diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, poliomyelitis, tuberculosis, hepatitis b, measles, mumps, rubella and Hib infection", — said Natalia Grineva. Timothy Badikov – head in Vinnytsia region "Parents for vaccines" focused on the role of public organizations in promoting immunization of children, as the only reliable method of preventing infectious diseases. Chief physician of primary health care ¹5 of Vinnitsa Natalia Roman stressed the need for the adult population every 10 years to be vaccinated against diphtheria and tetanus. "It is important to restore confidence in vaccination. And this is possible with confidence in the quality of vaccines procured by the state in a responsible approach to vaccination as physicians and parents," concluded Tamara Vasilchuk.
