In Vinnytsia region addressed the gender aspects of health (photos)
With the aim of raising awareness of civil servants responsible for implementation of state policy in the sphere of health and heads of health care institutions in the sphere of ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men April 10, 2017 conducted training on "Gender aspects in healthcare". The event was organized by the Department of social and youth policy of the regional state administration. The training carried out a review of legislation regarding gender equality in Ukraine, considers institutional national mechanisms, the principle of equal rights and opportunities for women and men. The participants discussed the issues of equal opportunities of women and men regarding the combination of professional and family responsibilities, the technique of "3 G". Particular attention was focused on the issue of the importance of the practical application of gender approaches in health care institutions, gender mainstreaming, leaders of health care institutions in the planning of the work of these institutions, including in the provision of health services to women and men of different segments of the population. The participants expressed the view that the introduction of the principles of equal rights and opportunities of women and men in the area of health is the Foundation for effective solutions to pressing issues, one of the important conditions for positive change, ensuring the right of everyone to receive quality care.
