Vinnitsa region is preparing to celebrate Europe Day (photo)
12 April in the hall of RSA under the chairmanship of the first Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Andriy Gyzhko held a session of organizing Committee on celebration in Europe Day. Opening the meeting Andrey Guico noted that the main events will be held traditionally in the regional center. Also, according to him, this year on the eve of Europe Day, the planned arrival of a large economic mission from the Netherlands. "we need to develop a common vision of celebrating the Day of Europe in the field separately to view the events that will take place in Vinnitsa" - said Andrey Geico. In turn present at the meeting, the Deputy of the Vinnytsia city mayor Galyna yakubovych noted that the program of appropriate events in the city already approved. "Europe day in the city will be held may 20. The Grand opening will be on the same day from 14.00 to 15.00 – traditionally on Independence square" - said Galina Yakubovich. She also noted that the Cathedral street that will be blocked a little more time - from 12.00 to 20.00 hours. The concert program will be announced closer to the celebration, locations – traditionally throughout the Central part of the city. "After last year's event, we observe the interest of the citizens to European cuisine, so this year such places will be increased," - said the official. This year the winery celebrates 10th anniversary of Europe Day, therefore, according to Galina Yakubovich scheduled highlight of the holiday, but it should be may 19 – competition dragonbot on the river southern bug. These competitions will be held for the first time in the region and will be vibrant extravaganza. Also, according to her Vinnytsia city Council on the Day of Europe has invited 80 international partners. The Director of the Department of international cooperation and regional development regional state administration Volodymyr Merezhko elaborated on the program of the visit of the delegation from the Netherlands. He noted that according to preliminary information it will be headed by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine Case Klompenhouwer. Also, according to Volodymyr Merezhko,members of the delegation have to spend in seminars, to visit enterprises, to communicate with representatives of industrial companies and business. Summing up the meeting the first Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Andriy Gyzhko noted that though prior to the celebration there was plenty of time, but must be developed in detail all the activities to make plans and prepare for the day of Europe at a high level.
