Chernivtsi, the Ukrainian side expressed gratitude to the Czech Republic for support of Ukraine's territorial integrity

12 April, the Deputy of the Chernivtsi city mayor on activities of Executive bodies of city Council Vladimir Seredyuk, together with representatives of regional authorities took part in the meeting with the Consul General of the Czech Republic in Lviv Mr. pavela Pawns. The diplomat spoke in favor of prompt return under the control of the government of Ukraine the Autonomous Republic of Crimea temporarily occupied territories of the Eastern provinces, and also spoke about the contribution of the Czech Republic in the rehabilitation of the participants of the revolution of Dignity, which suffered during the events on Maidan. "I intend to visit seven areas that are included in the consular district of the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Lviv. Pleasantly surprised and delighted by the city of Chernivtsi and Chernivtsi oblast. I think that Bukovina has a huge tourism potential and we are ready to cooperate in this direction, – said Paul Pawns. – We congratulate Ukraine with the visa-free regime, but want Ukrainians understand what are the features of stay in the Schengen area in order to avoid negative situations. Therefore, we intend to conduct an information campaign to clarify the rules regarding visa-free regime". Representatives of the Ukrainian side expressed sincere gratitude to Mr. Pavel Pawns for the support of the territorial integrity of Ukraine, for assisting in the treatment of the wounded on the Maidan, the revolution of dignity, but also noted that Bukovina and the Czech Republic share a common historical past and rich cultural heritage. The parties also discussed possible areas of cooperation in the spheres of economy, education, culture, science and conservation, as well as ways of sharing information in cases of emergencies.
