Kovel's'ka local Prosecutor's office performs procedural management of pre-trial investigation of criminal proceedings on abuse of office, which entailed grave consequences and land contamination waste as a result of violation of special rules that created a danger to the environment, committed by a Director of the Kovel branch of the state enterprise "Ukratransneft". Established that the official, abusing the official position and violating a number of norms of the current legislation, provided the placement and disposal of fallen animals and waste from processing raw materials of animal origin on land area of over 3 hectares in Kovel, which caused land pollution waste, created the environmental hazard and also caused damage for the sum more than 1,8 million UAH.
