In Lutsk opened the exhibition-competition “of This of Dyvosvit”
for the 21st consecutive year, ahead of the Easter holidays in our city, an exhibition-competition “of This of Dyvosvit”. Traditionally, the exhibition organizers are the Department of culture city Council and Lutsk art school. This year the exhibition presents 556 Easter eggs, created by the hands of 144 young artists. In the solemn opening ceremony was attended by the Secretary of the city Council, acting mayor Igor Polishchuk, Deputy mayor Grigory Pustovit, Director of the Department of culture of city Council Tatyana Gnativ, Director of the Lutsk art school Ivan Gavrilyuk, predstavnici of the clergy, art historians, art students, their parents and friends. In the art project, which has already become traditional for luck, was attended by children aged from 8 to 18 years. The works presented on competition, are copyright and made in the traditional manner – wax painting, painted with natural or chemical dyes. The aim of the competition is the preservation of national traditions of folk art of Pysanka painting, the approval of the national Easter traditions, attracting children to explore and popularize the unique traditional Ukrainian Easter eggs, to identify and support gifted children. Addressing the audience, acting mayor Igor Polishchuk noted that every year the project “of This of Dyvosvit” is gaining momentum and increased attention to it by society. “It's nice that the writing of Easter eggs holds a special place in the curriculum of the Lutsk art school. This case is quite complicated and laborious, but the result is worth it, because the egg is a symbol of kindness, happiness and hope for the best. Through these projects children and young people have the opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of the ancient Ukrainian traditions. This will help preserve the art of Easter eggs for the next generations”, - he stressed. The Director of the Lutsk art school, honored worker of culture of Ukraine Ivan Gavrilyuk focused on the fact that it is an exhibition of our spiritual energy, because the Easter eggs have great tradition, the symbolism carried through the ages. He remembered how 20 years ago, began the contest “Painted Dyvosvit”. According to him, this project has paid off and during this time of painting learned a lot of children. The Director of the Department of culture Tatiana Gnativ said that in 21 years of the event the exhibition was attended by about five thousand participants and featured over 16 thousand eggs. She also expressed gratitude to the representatives of the city authorities for their support in cultural events and creative projects. After the greeting words of the pupils of art school received from the hands of the authorities and cultural figures awards and gifts for participation in the contest “Painted Dyvosvit”.
