In the Ternopil region in October to 5 million pensioners pensions increase will occur for the first time in four years

Modernization of pensions planned by the Government in October 2017 in the framework of the pension reform, will affect more than 5 million pensioners. About it in interview to "5 channel" said Deputy Prime Minister-the Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko. "In recent years, the minimum pension, we still raised, and people who receive pensions between 1400grn and 4500 UAH for four years, no indexation was carried out. But it's still more than 5 million Ukrainians. And it is very important that we have determined that modernization of pensions will be one of the elements of the pension reform," he said, noting that while it is important to ensure fairness. "And justice is that those people who have sufficient work experience, operate for a long time in the legal sector of the economy, should receive decent pensions," - said Vice Prime Minister. At the same time, Pavlo Rozenko noted that pension reform, towards which the Government covers a much broader range of issues. "Issues around which we lead the debate on pension reform, of course, much more. And I hope that within a month or two we will come to the unveiling of the complete, comprehensive pension reform," he said. "I'd really like to see the current Government just to avoid problems and errors of the so-called pension reforms in 2011, when the discussion was only around issues of shared system - what to do with the retirement age, or experience. That is what then the pension reform was discredited, and not conducted", - said Vice Prime Minister. "Pension reform is not only change the settings of a solidarity system. Complete reform is impossible without introduction of funded pillar non-state pension insurance. After all, according to the model of the pension system, which is recorded in the current legislation, the joint part is only 60% of the total amount of pension, 30% is a cumulative system and 10% non-state pension insurance. Therefore, if only to reform the joint system, it will still be only 60% of what can really get people to retire," - said Pavel Rozenko. It is known that earlier Pavlo Rozenko reported that in 2017 for 8 million pensioners, size of pension payments depends on the minimum pension will increase by at least 10%. The first increase of the minimum pension will take place from 1 may. This was reported in the Ternopil regional state administration
