This is to ensure that as many rural residents with cardiovascular disease, asthma and diabetes type II could receive compensation for medicines. This was noted during the meeting, the Chairman of the Ternopol regional state administration, Stepan Barna. "We set a goal to hold an extensive information campaign to let people know about the opportunities that the Government gives the opportunity to use. Government policy is currently focused on additional social protection of Ukrainians, including in the health sector. The program "Affordable medicine" is one of such tools. The challenge for the region to ensure the most effective and qualitative implementation. So now we work with the population, conducting outreach, and physicians, pharmacists and representatives of local authorities to implement the program," said Stepan Barna. According to him, the program has been joined by 149 pharmacies region, this number is expected to increase to 250. "In every district there are centres of health care, who are stewards of funds. From the regional administration, we have prepared all the necessary documents and following the session of the Ternopil regional Council, the funding in the framework of the program "Affordable medicine" distributed among the districts. Now necessary to hold the sessions of district councils and meetings of the budget committees, in accordance with the program to reimburse the funds to the pharmacies. The district administration on its part should ensure the proper organization of this process", – said Stepan Barna. At the same time, the Chairman of the Ternopil regional state administration intends to personally carry out regular raids on pharmacies. In particular, while on a working trip in Chortkiv district, the head of the region personally inspected how this program works. As it turned out, in the area of participation of pharmacies 7 out of 24 registered. On the implementation of the "Affordable medicines" the district received more than one million hryvnias. There the program began to operate from April 10, and during this period have already been discharged 1.233 recipes of which recipe used 451 for a total amount of more than UAH 15 thousand. "To use the program "Affordable drugs" in Chortkiv is possible without any difficulties, because the pharmacists are knowledgeable and informed, – said Stepan Barna. – Now the main task, we still have to do, to pharmacies, which have branches in villages, joined this programme.
