Melanoma is one of the most dangerous malignant tumors that develop from pigmented cells and often recurs. Despite the significant development of modern cancer the incidence of cutaneous melanoma continues to grow. For the past 5 years, the city of Chernivtsi, there is a tendency to a decrease in the detection of melanoma of the skin. So in 2012 this figure amounted to 12 cases 2013, 14 cases in 2014 – in 9 cases, in 2015 – 7 cases, in 2016 – 8 cases. Although by region, the figure has grown over the years, so in 2012, 12 cases, and in 2016 – 30 cases. In 90% of cases, the localization is diagnosed in the first And second stages, which is a positive point for the further course of the disease and treatment. Registered on the city of Chernivtsi is 138 cancer patients with a diagnosis of melanoma. On the field this number is 331 ill.
