In Chernihiv discussed the role of women in political life
the other day in the city of Chernihiv in the project "Strengthening of the newly elected women deputies of city, district and regional level, Khmelnytsky, Chernihiv and Mykolaiv region by conducting awareness-raising campaigns and exchange of experience" was held all-Ukrainian conference "the Role of women in the political life of Ukraine". The meeting was attended by representatives of political parties, deputies of different levels of councils, community activist Chernigov, Khmelnitsky and Mykolaiv regions. The conference participants debated on the topic: "Why is it important that women were involved in politics" and "did the introduction of gender quotas to strengthen women in politics?". They concluded that the increase in women's representation in politics will contribute to the harmonious development of society, improve the quality of life of people and create appropriate conditions for the development of each individual. Speakers also noted that in the framework of this project the women deputies take an active part in the implementation of the participatory budget (budget) in cities and villages of the Chernigov, Khmelnitsky and Mykolaiv regions. In addition, during the meeting a question was raised about the creation of the Interfactional group "For equal opportunities" in the councils of all levels that will strengthen the role of women-deputatok and implement plans for further cooperation on gender issues at local level and exchange of experience.
