Zhytomyr holds first place on the index of industrial production in Ukraine
Zhitomir region continues to lead among regions of Ukraine on the index of industrial production. In January-March 2017 the index of industrial production in the region was 128,7% compared to the same period last year. This was reported by head of the Department of industry, infrastructure development and tourism of Zhytomyr regional state administration Roman One. — "Within three months of 2017, the Zhytomyr region takes the first place among regions of Ukraine the growth rate of industrial production. The index of production was 128,7 % of the corresponding period of 2016, while last year the figure was 98.4 %. The best performance showed the mining industry – 199,7%, machinery – 120,1%, light industry – 116,9%, production of finished metal structures – 109,9%", – said Roman One. Recall that the index of industrial production Zhytomyr entered the 5 leaders in 2016, and in January-February, the region in 2017, the region took the first place. Since the beginning of the year, the Donetsk oblast holds the first place among regions of Ukraine on the consumer price index that indicates inflation is low.
