In Ternopil honored the memory of victims of Chernobyl disaster

Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Yurii Yurik, Director of the Department of social protection Vadim Boyarsky, Chairman of the regional Council Victor Ovcharuk, Chairman of public organization of invalids "Chernobyl Union of Ukraine" Alexander Kharitonov, and the participants of the rally laid flowers to the monument "to Victims of the Chernobyl disaster and nuclear testing" and the memorial plaque to the veteran of fire protection of the bodies of internal Affairs Leonid Kudrinskay. "we pay tribute to all who gave their health and lives to protect us and the whole world from the ruthless consequences of the Chernobyl disaster. I bow to the courage, heroism and fortitude shown during the overcoming of the accident. Eternal memory and honor of those whose lives were interrupted the deadly atom. Such sacrifice is a proof of true patriotism and love of native land", — said Yuri Yurik. Reference: In the field are 43 461 a person who has the status of affected by the Chernobyl disaster, namely disabled persons and 960 persons; participants of liquidation of consequences of accident on CHAES – 2 434 persons; victims of the Chernobyl accident who were evacuated from the exclusion zone and resettled from the radioactively contaminated areas – 34 202 people; children, victims of the Chernobyl disaster – 6 822 people, including 5 children with disabilities; 512 widows of deceased citizens, whose death is related to the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster. As 01.04.2017 Department and the departments of labor and social protection of population of regional state administrations, Kremenetski, Chortkiv and Ternopil city councils provided social and compensation payments affected by the Chernobyl disaster in the amount of 3 million UAH. Conducted organizational work on the conclusion of tripartite agreements for the provision of services for sanatorium-resort treatment of citizens affected by the Chernobyl disaster according to the submitted statements. In 2017 it is planned to improve 135 people, of which 134 people - category 1 (disabled) and 1 child with a disability. This was reported in the Ternopil regional state administration
