Chernigov: Embassy of Canada announces the opening program of the Canadian Fund for local initiatives for the 2017-2018 year
With the assistance of the Canada Fund for local initiatives (CFMI), Embassy of Canada in Kiev has the ability to Fund projects focused on the following thematic priorities: - the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls; - promoting the development of human potential, particularly in the areas of health, nutrition and education; - defending and securing human rights, inclusive and accountable governance, democracy, peace, pluralism and respect for diversity; - support inclusive and green economic growth; - facilitate the solution of environmental issues, including water resources and climate change; - support peace and security. The canadian Foundation will not Fund projects that are purely overhead associated with the management of the organization, have a continuous or periodic nature on a large scale and directed to meet General budget needs. Grant Canada Fund applicants must meet the following basic requirements: to be registered as a Ukrainian public Association or organization; to be able to provide all relevant registration documents issued by Ukrainian state bodies; - must have a valid Bank account in the Ukrainian financial institution and be able to provide information about the account; - submit a completed application for funding (with the application) in the form specified by the Embassy of Canada; - be able to demonstrate a real utility for the audience/clients, especially for women, children, youth, minorities, persons with disabilities and/or elderly people. The following organizations are unable to obtain funding from the Canadian Fund: - political parties; - military organizations; - the organization, no legally registered Ukrainian authorities. The maximum grant amount is 50 thousand canadian dollars. Applications for funding must be submitted by email and in printed form (2 copies) by mail to the Embassy of Canada in Ukraine (cfli.coordinator@gmail.com and kyivcanadafund@international.gc.ca).
