President Petro Poroshenko recalled that the Committee of permanent representatives of the EU approved the granting of a visa-free regime for Ukraine. "We – Ukraine, its people, and the power – got the visa-free regime for travel to the EU. And we can already say that we are waiting for may 11 the decision of the Council of the European Union, which grants every Ukrainian citizen who has a biometric passport, visa-free border crossing," - said the Head of state during a visit to the Main centre of communication, automation and information protection of the State border service of Ukraine. "There is no more need to wait in long queues at the embassies, to collect a bunch of references, to pay money," he added. Petro Poroshenko called the decision very important for our country. "If you want a Rubicon, when we move away from the Russian Empire and return to our European cradle. 11 June, this decision should enter into force, and the Ukrainians will be able freely to travel," he said. The President expressed the opinion that after the liberalization of the visa regime, the flow of citizens of Ukraine who will travel to Europe will increase and thus will increase the load on the service. All Ukrainians should receive qualitative European service when crossing the border, said the Head of state instructed the head of the state tax service of UKRAINE and its employees to ensure the appropriate conditions.
