6 residents of Rivne region are suspected of organizing a criminal group engaged in illegal extraction of amber
For the procedural management of Prosecutor's office of Rivne region six residents of Rivne region reported about suspicion in Commission of the criminal offense under part 3 of article 28 of part 2 of article 240 of the criminal code of Ukraine (illegal production as part of an organized criminal group of minerals of national importance). Collected during the preliminary investigation the evidence established that the organizer is a resident of Sarny district and performers have developed and approved a single criminal plan associated with the amber trade. Members of the group in accordance with the distribution of functions stored equipment for mining, determined the time and place of its production. After the production and sale of the organizer of the group had planned to distribute among the members of the group received cash, their part - to use for the organization of further criminal activity. Law enforcement officers detained the accomplices in January 2017 during the implementation of their criminal activities. On the scene removed the amber instrument adapted for illegal mining of precious stone. In criminal proceedings pre-judicial investigation proceeds to send the indictment to the court. The responsibility provided by the criminal code of Ukraine in the form of a fine of up to 700 untaxed minimum incomes of citizens or restriction of freedom for up to 3 years, or imprisonment for the same term.
