In the Zhytomyr region held a solemn presentation of the all-Ukrainian prize named after Ivan Ogienko.
On April 28 in Brusilov held a solemn presentation of the all-Ukrainian prize named after Ivan Ogienko. The event was held to lay the first bricks of the walls of the Ukrainian Holy resurrection Church of Kyiv Patriarchate, the sanctification of the Foundation of the chapel laid near the place of burial of the parents of Ivan Ogienko, the opening of a memorial plaque on the building, which during the years 1916-1919 was placed Higher primary school, opened at the initiative and with the assistance of I. I. Ogienko, and the solemn ceremony of awarding the prize. This year the prize winners were: in literature: Macko Vitaly Petrovich is a journalist, doctor of philological Sciences, Professor, head of Department of Ukrainian language and literature Khmelnytskyi humanitarian-pedagogical Academy (Khmelnitsky); in science: Filipchuk Georgiy Georgievich – honoured scientist and technician of Ukraine, high achiever of education of Ukraine, doctor of pedagogical Sciences, Professor, academician of the Academy of pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine (Kyiv); in the field of education: Datsyuk Galina Ivanovna, journalist and public figure, editor-in-chief of the editorial Board of information and educational programs "Culture" of the National radio company of Ukraine, member of the Union of journalists of Ukraine (Kyiv); in the field of art: Butkovskij Nicholas A. – a painter, member of artists Union of Ukraine, teacher of Zhytomyr College of culture and arts.Ivan Ohienko (Zhitomir); Borawski Nikolai – people's artist of Ukraine, founder, artistic Director, Kiev Academic theatre of Ukrainian folklore "Bereginya" (m. Kyiv); in social, political and spiritual activities Svyatnenko, Vladimir G. – writer, ethnographer, public figure (Kyiv). At the end of the ceremony for the winners and participants of the event were the team of the Kiev academic theatre of Ukrainian folklore "Bereginya". Reference: The award was established in 1994 with the aim of honoring the memory of the outstanding personality of Ivan Ogienko, preserving and extending new generations of his deeds and acts which he has devoted his life.
