In Ternopil pharmacies continue to join the program "Affordable medicine", which became effective in Ukraine on 1 April 2017. As of may 1 this year, has already signed agreements with 59 constituent entities of economic activity, and it is 191 pharmacy, which releases medication. Discharged 44 600 recipes. These data are at the weekly meeting was announced by the head of the Department of health Ternopil regional state administration Volodymyr Boychuka. Among the districts, the three leaders headed Gusyatinskiy where in the program "Affordable medicine" involved the largest number of pharmacies – 22. Second place goes to Chortkiv district, where it attracted 20 pharmacies, and third place was shared between Ternopil and Buchach districts. There in the Government the project was joined by 16 pharmacies. It should be noted that this program includes reimbursement of medicines under 21 international non-proprietary name (active ingredient), which corresponds to 157 trade names drugs. At the pharmacy, the patient can choose to receive the cheapest medicinal product for free (23 drugs), or choose another brand and pay a certain amount (of 134 products). At the same time asking residents of the Ternopil region interested in the program "Affordable medicine" to their doctors, pharmacy chains, to inform each other, because the implementation of the program, the Government has allocated UAH 500 million. of which 13 million 671 thousand for the region. Thus, this will allow patients with cardiovascular disease, type II diabetes, and bronchial asthma to medicines for free or with little fee, that aims to reduce the mortality and improve the health of the residents of the region.
