5 inhabitants of the region will be tried for illegal amber mining as part of an organized criminal group
the Prosecutor's office of Rivne region sent to the court indictment against 5 citizens – residents of Sarny and Rokytnivskiy district, which in an organized group mined amber in the raw. During a pretrial investigation, which was conducted by the investigators of the police SU GUNP in the Rivne region, the suspects entered into with the Prosecutor a plea agreement of guilt of a criminal offense under part 3 of article 28 of part 2 of article 240 of the criminal code of Ukraine (illegal production as part of an organized group of minerals of national importance). Based on the collected evidence it is established that the organizer is a resident of Sarny district and performers have developed and approved a single criminal plan associated with the amber trade. Members of the group in accordance with the distribution of functions stored equipment for mining, determined the time and place of its production. After the production and sale of the organizer of the group had planned to distribute among the members of the group received cash, their part - to use for the organization of further criminal activity. Law enforcement officers detained the accomplices in January 2017 during the implementation of their criminal activities. On the scene removed the amber instrument adapted for illegal mining of precious stone. Now the fate of the men the court will decide. The responsibility provided by the criminal code of Ukraine in the form of a fine of up to 700 untaxed minimum incomes of citizens or restriction of freedom for up to 3 years, or imprisonment for the same term.
