Chernivtsi: the reception of creative works for the contest "If I were mayor"
Department of education of the city Council conducting the III City competition of creative works "If I were mayor". In their revision the participants have to reveal the vision of future city development, local self-government, the strengthening of its organizational, legal, socio-economic and informational foundations. The main objectives of the Competition are: ? the development of creative initiatives of students, active life position, readiness to participate in public and cultural life of the country; ? to examine the role, significance and place of local government in the life of state and society, and foster a sense of the owner; ? increased participation of pupils in matters of local self-government; ? the formation of a democratic, European values, understanding of the rights and freedoms of man, of high social, cultural and educational standards; ? promoting initiatives and Patriotic attitude of young people to his hometown, the responsibility for its present and future. The competition is held among students and pupils of 2-11 forms of General education and preschool institutions of Chernivtsi in three age categories: Category I — up to 9 years; II category — from 10 to 12 years (inclusive); Category III — from 13 to 16 years (inclusive). Criteria of assessment: • creative approach to coverage of the subject, completeness of disclosure; • literacy and linguistic richness, the use of additional materials; • non-standard solution of problems of local government; • accuracy of work. To participate in the Competition works in printed and written version of no more than two or three (not counting graphics, applets and the like) pages. For participation in the Competition application is submitted, which specifies: • information about the author (surname, name, patronymic, class, age, author); • home address, telephone number; • full name of the educational institution; • information on the Manager (if any). Creative work submitted to the Department of education Chernivtsi city Council until 18 may 2017. The jury will choose 9 winners (3 winners in different age categories). The winners of Competition are awarded by diplomas of Department of education, thanks Chernivtsi mayor and promotional gifts. The contest organizers are the Department of education Chernivtsi city Council and Odessa city mayor.
