Chernigov is preparing to raise the salary of teachers in preschool,vocational schools and extracurricular educational institutions from 1 July
At its meeting of the Executive Committee of the Chernihiv city Council approved the draft decision on raising the tariff categories of pedagogical workers of preschool, out-of-school and vocational educational institutions. We are talking about increase of salaries of teachers for those schools, which are financed from the city budget. of Chernigov. The result will align the conditions of remuneration of pedagogical workers, who earn wages by educational subventions from the state and local budgets. According to the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine*, for educational institutions, which are financed from the educational subsidy from the state budget to local budgets, this increase has already occurred since January 1 of this year. For all other establishments and institutions it Ukraine is expected on September 1. However, the same regulation gives the right to the local level to implement such an increase in previously – if the local authorities have such capabilities. Chernihiv city is going to take this step. The increase in wages is expected from 1 July; the additional costs of the local budget will be at the same 4 million.
