from Now on, according to the decision of the Executive Committee has established 15 scholarships of the mayor for leading and promising athletes in the city. Each of them are set in the subsistence minimum and is appointed at the expense of the city budget provided for the development of physical culture and sports. Scholarships are only for material incentives, ensure the possibility of a permanent sports development, promotion of their successful performances in national and international competitions that contribute to the glorification of the city at national and international levels. Of which at least 5 scholarships are granted to athletes of Chernivtsi under the age of 18 years. At least 11 scholarships are granted to athletes on the basis of their performances in the Olympic sports programs that are included in the program of the Olympic games. For the consideration of candidates for scholarships of the mayor created the Commission on the appointment of scholarships. It is composed of representatives from the office of youth and sports of Chernivtsi regional state administration, Chernivtsi regional Department of Committee for physical education and sport of the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine, Department of physical culture and sports of the city Council, the Department of education of the city Council, Chernivtsi regional branch of the NOC of Ukraine, Chernivtsi regional school of the highest sports skill, the Chernivtsi regional center for physical health "Sport for all", Chernivtsi regional centre for physical culture and sports of invalids "Invasport", sports societies, local sports federations on the Olympic sports which are included to the category of priority sports in Ukraine, 3 local sports federations for non-Olympic sports, which are included to the category of priority sports in Ukraine. For scholarships of the mayor of the athletes nominated from the members, candidates and reserve national teams of Ukraine, Chernivtsi region national team in Olympic and non-Olympic sports who reside on the territory of Ukraine and registered in Chernivtsi. A prerequisite for a scholarship is received by the athlete places on the Olympic games, Youth Olympic games, European games, World games for non-Olympic sports, World mind games, World games of martial arts, the world chess Olympiad, Paralympic games, Deaflympic games, Championships, cups and Championships of the city, region, Ukraine, Europe and the world among youth, juniors, youths and adults.
