VIII all-Ukrainian festival of embroidered towels "Embroidered talismans of unity" in Lutsk
In our town is held the VIII all-Ukrainian festival "Embroidered talismans of unity". Cultural and artistic event has become a tradition that has collected on the Theatre square a very large number of people who came not only to observe the action, but also to become parties to it. Embroidered towel is an important attribute of Ukrainian culture. Since ancient times, it is a Central component of folk customs and rituals. Embroidered towel bless for a happy married life, get married, meet guests, baptize children. He accompanies Ukrainians throughout life. To draw attention to this national talisman at Theater square organized an exhibition of embroidered towels and the Palace of culture in Lutsk city opened an exhibition of embroidery. The festival participants had a great opportunity to learn embroidery during the master-classes by experienced masters-embroiderers. The town square held a competition of children's drawings on asphalt "Draw my towel mom" and the competition theme of poems and songs "the Soul of the Ukrainian people - embroidered towel". In the framework of the festival an exhibition caravan "holiday Loaf on a wedding towel", a concert with participation of creative collectives of the city of Lutsk. Greeted the residents asked acting city head Igor Polishchuk. He thanked everyone who came to Maidan to celebrate special occasion of mother's Day. As the mother is the most precious thing we have in life. He also expressed gratitude to all who honor our traditions, and wants to become a part of the "Towel of unity". "Let joint towel will bring together not only participants of the Maidan and the whole Ukraine", – he stressed. Lucian congratulated and guests with the feast of the first Deputy Chairman of regional Council Alexander Pirozek. Blessed festival, held for the eighth time on the initiative of the honored worker of arts of Ukraine Vitaly Ivanitsky with the support of the town Council, the clergy of the UOC and the UOC-KP. Vitaly Ivanitsky thanked all who enjoy the festival pays respect to the mothers and our traditions, and said that in the past year, representatives of the National project "records book of Ukraine" noted by the Diploma of our city in the design of streets with towels during the festival. This year also the Windows of houses, institutions and organizations dressed up with towels. Especially was beautifully decorated communal institutions of the city. Every year more and more willing to participate in this beautiful and touching event, so again, hundreds of people lined up towels in the "Towel of unity".
