At the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Chernihiv city Council, which took place on may 11, for the purpose of streamlining of the names of the educational institutions of the city decided to change the names of the three schools. Namely to the title "Information technology Lyceum ¹ 16 of the Chernihiv city Council in Chernihiv region" shall be added the words – "municipal institution "Educational complex," and the names "Chernigov preschool institution ¹ 68 "Poznayka" of Chernihiv city Council of Chernihiv region" and "Chernihiv preschool institution ¹ 72 of the Chernihiv city Council in Chernihiv region" shall be added the words "child development center". This decision shall enter into force on 1 September 2017. According to the head of Department of education of the city Council Vasily Bloguri, changing the name of Lyceum ¹ 16 will create a link primary school and recruit the first class. Today it is an institution with advanced study of informative technologies. Now the school will have its own primary school, where computer science will be studied, starting from the 2nd class. In addition, the creation of the educational complex of this type will allow to avoid problems connected with the continuity of primary and basic schools, that is, an abrupt transition to new teaching methods, lack of training learners to perceive complex content of academic subjects in the 5th grade. The program of development of education of the city of Chernihiv "Education in the life of our city", approved by the deputies of Chernihiv city Council in October 2016, provides for the establishment on the basis of preschool educational establishments No. 68 (new York R-n) and # 72 (Desnyanskiy R-n) centers for child development. They will introduce new forms of work with preschool children to ensure all-round development of each child taking into account his abilities, individual psychological and physical features. The centres of development on the basis of other DOE city will open over the next five years.
