January-April 2017 the employment services of the region have used almost 24,9 thousand people, of which 18.4 thousand has the status of unemployed. With the assistance of basic employment centers of the region are employed 9546. Compensation to employers of the costs of a single fee for obligatory state social insurance have the job 198 unemployed. Unemployment assistance received 9174 unemployed (84.2 per cent of the total). The average amount of this aid in April 2017 amounted to UAH 1693,6. Basil Oleshchuk noted that the region remains a positive trend to increase the number of employers reporting vacancies to the employment service. Thus, in the period from January to April 2017, the number of submitted jobs in the regional employment service amounted to 4185 (3068 in January-April 2016). Among the vacancies to the employment service, 4.4 percent were with wages above average for the area, at the same time, to 53.1% - minimal salary. As of 1 may 2017 relevant were 2362 jobs, including for workers – 1479 for employees – 645, for those that do not require special preparation – 238. The greatest demand in the region are among the employees – managers, accountants, cashiers, engineers; from working professions - sellers, drivers, tractor drivers, cooks, construction workers miscellaneous occupations, seamstresses, mechanics repair cars, and without qualification – laborers, cleaners of premises and territories, packers-packers and movers. For one vacancy on average, the region claimed 5 of the unemployed. "It is encouraging that the employment situation of the population in Ternopil region gradually stabiliziruemost.
