In Zhitomir began the championship of fire-applied sports.
21 teams of young firefighters from all over the Zhytomyr region compete in the area championship on fire-applied sports, dedicated to the memory of Vladimir Verhovskogo. The competition began on may 17, at the sports complex of Management of gschs in the region. This year for the title of best young firefighters fighting 20 teams from the districts in Zhytomyr region and 1 team from the city of Zhitomir. Participants are from 15 to 18 years. they will be 4 rounds of the fight. Competitions on fire-applied sports held annually since 1978. The championship will last till may 19. In competitions take part: * May 17 – team boys teams of young firefighters. * May 18 – firefighters fire-rescue units.
