In Zhytomyr region the voluntary Association is the restoration of the historical memory of communities,- Gennady Zubko
Merging of communities from different parts of the region has not happened yet, but these communities are ready to submit applications to the CEC. The green light gives them adopted by Parliament on 14 March 2017 the law concerning features of voluntary unification of territorial communities located in the territories of neighboring districts. This was stated by Vice Prime Minister – Minister of regional development, construction and housing and communal services of Ukraine Gennady Zubko. "Under Soviet rule, when dividing the regions shared a strong community, so that they are easier to manage. The law on voluntary Association that is aimed at restoring the historical memory of the communities that were once divided", - said Gennady Zubko. He said that the Government has already prepared a draft law on the principles of administrative-territorial structure, which should resolve all contentious issues, and soon it will be submitted to Parliament. Indeed, in Ukraine, as emphasized by Gennady Zubko, still has a law on administrative-territorial system, which was adopted in 1983 in the USSR.
