Chairman of the Ternopil regional state administration met with the delegation Taraskovo County of the Republic of Lithuania
Between the Ternopil region and Turskim County of the Republic of Lithuania in 2016, a Framework agreement was signed on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation. Simultaneously to promote regional development in Ukraine was created "Ternopil society of the friendly relations "Taurage", and in Lithuania – Association "Tauriska the society of friends of Ternopil". On the occasion of the meeting, the Chairman of the Ternopil regional state administration Stepan Barna noted that due to our joint humanitarian projects children of servicemen-participants of the ATO were able to relax and get healthier in Lithuania and got acquainted with local traditions. Also, the Chairman once again expressed interest in borrowing the experience of Lithuania for the preparation of the territorial defence units. In particular, he noted that it would be very fair if the Lithuanian experts were able to come on command and staff exercises of the detachment of the territorial defence of Chortkiv district, which will be held in early summer in Chortkiv. At the same time, Stepan Barna noted the need to develop bilateral relations between Lithuania and Ternopil, and asked to study areas of interest to provide the Lithuanian side meeting with business representatives in Ternopil region. In turn, the Director of the regional development Department under the Ministry of interior of Lithuania Edita MLA thanked the administration for conducting International investment forum "INVEST Ternopil region-2017" and noted the number of new acquaintances that they got there. The Lithuanian partners also stressed the importance of such visits and opportunities for cultural exchange. The guests were interested in information about scientific and technical potential of the region, they expressed a desire to cooperate with local universities. "Cooperation of the region with the County lasts for more than ten years, but only now finally palpable excitement. Have also an agreement between the Association of entrepreneurs and Ternopil economic University. In fact, in this framework, this year 12 Ternopil students have to go to practice in Lithuanian enterprises. In addition, in July we should have a football tournament, and therefore we expect that we will come to the Junior football team from Ternopil. I take this opportunity to mention a very high level of promotion of Ternopil region. And I want to learn from the experience of the project "7 wonders of Ternopil region", – said the head of the Department Taraskovo County Department of regional development under the Ministry of interior of Lithuania Vidas Bokus. As a result, the meeting made suggestions for the further development of interregional cooperation in the field of bioenergy market and modernization of the energy infrastructure of local communities. And have agreed to continue to work productively on joint projects and their implementation.
