In the Rivne region detained 2 police officers suspected of extortion and receiving 1 thousand dollars of illegal benefits
the Prosecutor's office of Rivne region is carried out pre-trial investigation and procedural guidance in criminal proceedings on suspicion of 2 workers of the Rivne police Department of the Main Directorate of the National police in the Rivne region, who committed corruption crimes. It is established that the major and the captain of the police demanded and received 26.05.2017 from the citizen illegal benefit in the amount of $ 1,000 for not attraction it to criminal liability. The fact that criminal activities were detected and foiled in a joint operation of employees of the Prosecutor's office of Rivne region and Management of the security Service of Ukraine in Rivne region, illegal benefit in full seized, and police detained. Both police officers reported about suspicion in Commission of a corruption offense under part 3 St. 368 criminal code of Ukraine (obtaining illegal benefit by prior arrangement by group of persons combined with extortion). In respect of these individuals 28.05.2017 court applied a preventive measure in the form of detention with possibility of bail. The issue of removal of police from their posts.
